Did You Know? It is extremely important to back up your data. The purpose of a backup is to copy your data to another location so that it can be recovered in the event of a hard drive failure. Data failures can be a result of hardware/software failures, data corruption, malware or even accidental deletion. Backup copies allow that data to be restored to a earlier point in time to recover from these untimely and unplanned events.
You can backup your data to another hard drive, a usb stick or even CDs/DVDs. That alternative storage can remain in the same location as the primary data or can reside off site. I fully recommend storing your backups off-site. If a natural disaster were to occur, you could lose your primary storage location AND your backup.
We recommend iDrive for all of your backup needs. It's inexpensive and so easy to install. If you need assistance, we are always happy to help.
